The booking site takes a cut on customers who were already yours.

The bookings that were always coming to you shouldn't cost you anything. Here's how to stop paying for them.

Stop paying for the customers you already had

A regular who's been coming for years books through an app, because it was the first thing they saw. You pay a fee on a customer you never had to find.

  1. Let them book on your own site. Rooms, tables, spa treatments and vouchers, all bookable straight from your website. Nobody takes a cut of any of it.
  2. Tables as well as rooms. Restaurant booking sites charge per head, and they charge most on your busiest night. A regular booking a table through your own site costs you nothing.
  3. Vouchers too. Sold from your site, and you keep every penny.
  4. See what each site actually costs you. Alacer tracks which channels make you money once the commission comes off.

We're not telling you to come off the booking sites. They fill rooms you might not have filled. When someone books on your website, Alacer takes that room off the booking sites straight away. Nobody sells it twice.

Book a call. Tell us what you paid in commission last year and we'll say if this helps.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book

What is a commission free booking system?

A commission free booking system takes bookings on your own website without anyone taking a percentage of each one.

A marketplace charges you for every booking it sends, including the regulars who'd have come anyway. Restaurant sites charge per head, and the fee is highest on your busiest nights.

With Alacer the booking happens on your own site, you keep the whole amount, and the guest's details stay with you rather than with a platform. That covers rooms, tables, spa treatments and gift vouchers.

What is a booking engine?

A booking engine is the part of your website that takes a reservation and the payment, without the guest phoning or emailing.

Someone arrives on your site, sees what's genuinely free, picks a room or a table, pays and gets a confirmation. It runs on your own branding rather than looking like somebody else's site.

Alacer's covers rooms, restaurant tables, spa treatments and gift vouchers off the same availability, so a guest booking a room can add dinner and a treatment in the same transaction.

What is a channel manager?

A channel manager keeps your availability and your rates the same everywhere at once.

List a room on three booking sites without one and you're updating three places by hand, and sooner or later two people book the same room. A channel manager pushes every change out immediately and pulls every booking back in.

It works both ways. When someone books directly on your own website, that room comes off the booking sites straight away, so pushing people to book direct doesn't create an overbooking problem.
